Read on to find out when the festival takes place and what to expect from this colorful celebration!

Across southern Spain, the Feria de Abril is celebrated and Valencia’s Feria de Andalucía is inspired by this iconic festival. Expect vibrant flamenco performances, lively casetas (colorful tents) where you can eat, drink, and dance, and even equestrian shows. While Seville hosts the largest and most famous Feria de Abril, Valencia offers a smaller but equally charming version right in the heart of the Turia Park.

Tips

  • Andalusia is known for its sherry. So when you order a glass of white wine, it might taste a bit like sherry. The popular sherry ‘Manzanilla’ might be nice to try when temperatures are high.
  • Do you have a beautiful flamenco dress? Don’t be afraid to wear it, especially in the weekend many people walk around in Flamenco outfits.
