Neighbourhoods

Ruzafa and El Carmen are two very gay friendly neighbourhoods in Valencia. These districts are buzzing with bars perfect for a relaxed evening drink, as well as clubs where the party continues until sunrise.
Planet
One of Ruzafa’s most well-known spots is Planet Valencia, open since 2012. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a copa (drink) or linger into the early hours. Known for its delicious cocktails at friendly prices, Planet Valencia has a special twist, while many gay bars in the city cater mostly to men, Planet Valencia focuses more on women.

Dancing the night away…
Deseo 54
The biggest gay club of Valencia is Deseo 54. Every weekend the roof is on fire! Enjoy a themed party, a famous DJ performance or just dance the night away on one of the two dance floors. This place is always fun! The music is mainly pop and commercial in one of the rooms and international house in the other room.
Tip! There are very often people handing out discount tickets in front of the club. If you enter Deseo 54 with the ticket before 02.30, you will pay less or nothing at all!

¡Vamos a la playa!
Beyond the city streets, Valencia also offers beautiful beaches. Just south of the city, between the villages of El Saler and Pinedo, you’ll find ‘Platja de l’Arbre del Gos.’ This Blue Flag beach is clean, safe, and known for a section popular among gay and lesbian visitors, located behind the dunes next to an old factory site (spot the tall chimney). You can reach it easily by taking bus 14 and getting off at Pinedo, the final stop.
