Explore the tapas scene in Valencia with Annick, Leonard or Anne-Nina!

During the tapas tour through Valencia, Annick, Leonard or Anne-Nina will be happy to introduce you to all those delicious Spanish snacks. In the meantime they can also tell you a lot about the places you come across along the way. And last but not least: they know better than anyone where you can enjoy the Spanish (or maybe even international) cuisine during the rest of your stay! Or which hidden gem you really need to visit. Feel free to ask them anything during the tapas tour!

About Annick

“In Breda, I worked with Spaniards in a fantastic tapas restaurant, where I really got to know the Spanish cuisine. I’ve always loved hospitality, the Spanish kitchen, and you’ll often find me enjoying a bite in a cosy tapas bar or restaurant. The best thing about tapas? Sharing the food! You eat more slowly, get to taste a bit of everything, and most importantly, you enjoy it together with a nice drink. Join me on a tapas tour and discover the tastiest bites in the most charming tapas bars of Valencia!”

Annick’s favourite tapas: “Choosing just one is really hard, but what I always enjoy are jamón ibérico, boquerones en vinagre, croquetas caseras, chistorra, and berenjenas con miel. For dessert, torrija is definitely my favourite!”

What Annick loves about the tapas tour: “You get to taste dishes you wouldn’t normally order yourself, but they turn out to be surprisingly delicious! We visit all kinds of different bars and soak up that typical Spanish atmosphere. Plus, you’ll learn more about Spanish gastronomy and the local way of life, and of course, about the beautiful city of Valencia!”

About Leonard

“Back in 2017, my Spanish in-laws helped me discover the Spanish cocina at lightning speed. They not only taught me where and what to eat in Valencia, but also how to truly enjoy talking about food! During the tapas tour, I’d love to take you along on a culinary adventure through the city!”

Leonard’s favourite tapas: “My favourite tapa is the one I haven’t tried yet. Luckily, the Spanish are super creative with food! But if I’m in the mood for a good old classic, I go for ensaladilla rusa or lágrimas de pollo, chicken ‘tears’!”

What Leonard loves about the tapas tour: “Delicious food, a nice drink, good vibes, and great stories about Valencia and Spain. You’re on holiday, and it makes me feel like I’m on holiday too!”

About Anne-Nina

Dutch on the outside, but a true señorita at heart. After living in several Spanish cities, she finally found her home in Valencia. Always on the move, she hops from musical activities to cultural events. And after a sporty adventure in the surroundings, you’ll find her at one of her favourite local bars, chatting with the locals over some tasty bites. Then it’s time to hop on her bike, Dutch style, and share her love for this beautiful city with full enthusiasm. During the tour, she might even pull out her creative pen to give you some personal tips. But be warned: her love for and from this city is contagious. Before you know it, you might just be calling Valencia your home too!

Anne-Nina’s favourite tapas: It’s hard to pick just one favourite tapa, but you can definitely wake me up for boquerones, and pulpo sounds like music to my ears. I also always ask if there’s a house special, I love being surprised! And I like to finish with some good cheese or delicious jamón ibérico, because for me, that’s the perfect dessert.

What Anne-Nina loves about the tapas tour: Tasty bites, a nice drink, and just enjoying a fun evening together. While we’re tasting the culture, I love sharing the stories behind the bars and Spanish dishes. Every region in Spain has its own finger-licking specialities you just can’t get enough of!
