This vineyard was originally a strawberry farm, hence the name, but today it produces some of the region’s finest wines. During this wine excursion, we’ll take you to the vineyard, where a wine expert will give you a guided tour and explain the winemaking process. You’ll get to taste three different wines. Afterwards, we’ll serve a light lunch, enjoy the beautiful views for a bit longer, and then bring you back to Valencia.

Wine Excursion to Bodega Pago Tharsys
Just an hour and fifteen minutes from Valencia, on the edge of the charming village of Jesús Pobre and Bodega Pago Tharsys is located in the wine region around Utiel and Requena, about an hour’s drive from Valencia. The bodega is housed in a beautiful, authentic 19th-century building. The wine estate sits in a green paradise of over 300 hectares of vineyards. It is currently managed by the fourth generation of the family. At the foot of the vineyard, the underground barrel room stores around 15,000 American and French oak barrels.
During a wine excursion to Pago Tharsys, you’ll usually start by walking through the vineyards to the old bodega where wine used to be made. Then, you’ll visit the modern facilities where production now takes place. Of course, you’ll also enjoy a tasting of their delicious wines, accompanied by an explanation about each wine and the winemaking process.
