In the historic fishermen’s district Cabanyal you’ll find Mestiza, a 100% plant-based restaurant. They’re dedicated to breaking the stigma that vegan food is bland and boring and trust us, they definitely succeed! Mestiza offers a wide-ranging menu full of familiar dishes with creative twists. Most of us know pad thai, but here it’s served differently: with tofu, fresh vegetables, caramelised mushrooms, and a delicious pistachio base. They want to demonstrate just how easy it is to veganize dishes, simply swapping out one ingredient can already do the trick! This concept is reflected throughout their menu, featuring traditional dishes like Spanish tortilla, but of course, made vegan. They also offer irresistible desserts, from homemade banana bread to a delicious cheesecake topped with red fruits!
